AmnestyKorea48 is an official group of Amnesty International (Korean section). This group is made up of both Korean and foreign volunteers who actively take part in the movement to promote and protect human rights for all people around the world.
The group’s main activities include writing appeal letters, sending online urgent action mails, organizing street campaigns and holding regular monthly meetings. The group also pays occasional visits to interesting places within Korea such as the Comfort Women Shelter.
Members meet on every first Saturday of the month from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Members meet at different places within Seoul as there is no fixed place for meeting. Monthly membership fee is 10,000 won per person.
