What We Do & Contact G48 – amnestyseoul@gmail.com

Amnesty G48 is an official group of Amnesty International (Korea Section). This group is made up of both Korean and foreign volunteers who actively take part in the movement to promote and protect human rights for all people around the world.

The group’s main activities include writing appeal letters, sending online urgent action e-mails, organizing street campaigns and holding regular monthly meetings. The group also pays occasional visits to interesting places within Korea such as the Comfort Women Shelter and is planning a trip to the May 18 Memorial Foundation in Gwangju for early this year.

Members meet on every first Saturday of the month from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We meet in the Cub Activity Room (동아리마당) at Seoul Women’s Plaza (서울여성프라자). The room is just next to the stairs on the 2nd floor of Seoul Women’s Plaza.

Directions to meeting venue:
Take subway Line 1 to Daebang Station and take Exit 3. Follow the signs. You can see a map in English at http://www.seoulwomen.or.kr/nhpeng/intro/directions.jsp.
